Energy Saving Cover: why is your spa cover essential?

When we talk about energy savings, we often think of insulation or the heating system. However, the spa cover plays an equally important role.

A quality cover helps retain water heat, limit evaporation, and protect the basin from external impurities. That's why Aquavia Spa has developed Energy Saving Cover, a reinforced cover designed to improve the energy performance of its spas.

What is the Energy Saving Cover?

The Energy Saving Cover is a thermal cover specifically designed for Aquavia spas.

Unlike a classic cover, it features a reinforced design with a thickness of up to 130 mm to minimize heat loss and water evaporation.

How does this thermal cover work?

A large portion of a spa's heat loss occurs through the water's surface.

By fully covering the spa when not in use, the Energy Saving Cover allows you to:

  • retain water temperature longer;
  • limit evaporation;
  • reduce heating needs;
  • protect the spa from leaves, dust, and other debris.

The heater thus runs less often, which helps reduce electricity consumption.

Advantages of the Energy Saving Cover

Improved energy efficiency

By reducing heat loss, this cover directly contributes to the spa's energy savings.

Cleaner water

The cover protects the basin from external elements such as leaves, insects, or dust.

Less evaporation

With limited evaporation, you consume less water and more easily maintain your treatment balance.

A robust cover

Its reinforced design improves its durability while offering excellent thermal insulation.

A complementary technology to EcoSpa

The Energy Saving Cover is even more effective when combined with EcoSpa technology.

This combination helps limit heat loss both in the spa's structure and through its surface. According to Aquavia Spa, the combination of these two technologies can achieve up to 67% energy savings compared to a spa without these features, under the manufacturer's testing conditions.

Why always put the cover back on after use?

At Provence Spa, this is one of the most common pieces of advice we give our customers.

Even if you use your spa daily, always remember to put the cover back on after each swim. This simple action allows you to:

  • retain water heat;
  • reduce electricity consumption;
  • preserve water quality;
  • limit the use of maintenance products.

A few seconds are enough to save money throughout the year.

Our opinion

At Provence Spa, we consider a good cover to be an indispensable element of the spa.

The Energy Saving Cover does more than just protect your basin: it actively contributes to the energy efficiency of your installation and improves daily comfort of use.

Combined with good insulation and regular maintenance, it allows you to fully enjoy your spa while controlling your energy consumption.
